Our College has a cultural atmosphere on campus. Various cultural programmes are organized on many occasions such as International Mother Language Day, Women’s Day, Freshers’ Welcome, Farewell of 3rd year students, Independence Day etc. Students also participate in various events such as drawing competition, debate etc. The role of cultural programmes in colleges is immense, as it helps in the overall development of students. All of these provide a platform for students to exhibit and develop their hidden talents and enhance their creativity through dance, singing, recitation, drama, painting, musical performances, etc. Performing on stage, debating or reciting increases students’ confidence and they learn social communication and relationship building techniques, which helps them overcome their introversion. Cultural programmes require teamwork, which helps develop cooperation, sense of responsibility, and leadership qualities. Programmes organized on Independence day or special days instill patriotism, culture and moral values among the students.
In short, cultural programmes at the college level are an essential part of the education system, which play an important role in not only acquiring knowledge but also in developing students into complete, responsible and creative human beings.
